Karen Soeters resigns as director of the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation

As of December 1st Karen Soeters wil resign from her duties as director of the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation, in order to fully focus on her foundation House of Animals.

Karen has been director of the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation since its establishment in August 2007. She was project leader of the much-discussed climate film ‘Meat the Truth’, the first Dutch climate documentary, which has now been translated into 17 different languages. and was screened all over the world. She was responsible for the production of the subsequent documentaries ‘Sea the Truth’, ‘The Haas in the Marathon’, ‘One Single Planet’ and ‘#Powerplant’ and was involved in visual documents about mega-stables and slaughter without pre-stunning. In addition, she acted as editor for the books ‘Sea the Truth’ and ‘Meat the Future’.

We sincerely thank Karen for her many years of dedication to the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation and wish her the best of luck with the further expansion of House of Animals. Be well and continue to commit yourself to the most vulnerable, the voiceless.
