Interviews: experts speak about slaughter without pre-stunning
The new bill from the Party for the Animals for an overall obligation to stun animals prior to slaughter is ready for consideration by the Lower House. In the run-up to this, the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation conducted interviews with experts in this field: HRH Princess Alia of Jordan (Muslim woman and animal protector), Asalet Sancakdaroglu (Muslim and inspector for Eyes on Animals in slaughterhouses) and Jan Vaarten (Director of the European Federation of Veterinarians).
